Built on more than three decades of hands-on leadership in the construction and development industry, Powell CM Solutions brings executive-level experience and practical project insight directly to our clients. Hansel Whiteurst brings more than 35 years of construction, program management, and executive leadership experience to Powell CM Solutions.


Throughout his career, he has led teams responsible for some of the Chicago region’s most visible and technically challenging projects. His experience ranges from major public infrastructure and institutional facilities to sports venues, cultural destinations, commercial developments, and complex renovation programs.


Before establishing Powell CM Solutions, Hansel served in senior executive and project leadership positions within the construction industry, with responsibility for business operations, project delivery, client relationships, team development, risk management, and strategic growth.


 His approach to consulting reflects lessons learned over decades in the field and executive suite: understand the problem, bring the right people together, communicate clearly, make decisions, and keep the project moving.
